The 2nd Annual Rootwire Music & Arts Festival August 4th-7th, 2011

The 2nd Annual Rootwire Music & Arts Festival
“A Gathering Like no Other….. Papadosio is proud to present their second annual Rootwire Music And Arts Festival happening August 4th – August 7th in beautiful Logan, Ohio at Kaeppner’s Woods. Rootwire is a festival for the Freedom Fighter in all of us. It is a gathering of those who want to see change and reciprocate it. Welcome to the only festival that treats all art equal and all in attendance as VIPs.
Rootwire, brought to you directly by the members of Papadosio, was designed from the ground up as a means to show that big headliner names and corporate sponsorships are not what makes or breaks a festival. We have assembled the nation’s best up and coming transcendental artists, and will put them on the biggest and best stage/soundsystem they will be on this summer, in order to show that it is not who you are that counts, it is the quality of your art and the deepness of your message.
The festival will feature 50+ Musical Acts, 50+ Visual Artists, 3 Stages, a massive live art circus tent, a Silent Disco Stage with 2 mixes at a time, massive art installations, graffiti walls, raised hooping and poi stands in front of all stages, body painting, Tipi Ceremonial Center, workshops, speakers, morning Yoga/Meditation, shower house with hot water, fresh water taps all over the grounds, forest lighting, camp by your car or camp in the shaded woods – you choose.” From Rootwire

Manifestivus ~ July 22nd & 23rd, 2011

The 9th Manifestivus

“The Ninth Annual Sol Harvest, The Manifestivus, will take place July 22 and 23, 2011. Our mission is to create a international world music festival which lifts peoples’ spirits in a way that it promotes evolution of the self through music, art and culture. Our vision is to create an elevated vibe that reminds us that we are one with each other, the land and all things.

The Manifestivus is held on 93 acres of breathtaking land in Cabot, Vermont, six hours north of New York City and three hours from Boston or Montreal. Set on a gently rolling hillside meadow surrounded by forest, the timber stage creates an unforgettable vibe which hosts 2000 dancing, smiling, loving faces under the moonlit sky. “Festivus” as it’s been dubbed, was founded by Toubab Krewe bassist David Pransky, and takes place on his family land. The Manifestivus is also managed by Carlo Rovetto of 1lb Productions and Positive Pie.

The family-friendly event offers on-site camping, medical facilities, vendors of authentic African and Ital food, as well as local arts and crafts. The site also boasts hiking trails wind through beaver ponds, marsh and woodland forest, and a large swimming pond. The 200 + children that attend the festival have an entire supervised area devoted to fun, games and culture.” From Manifestivus
