From LightningInABottle.org

“Southern California’s beloved art and music festival Lightning in a Bottle is getting a new home this year. The Riverside County Board of Supervisors approved the application for Lake Skinner County Park to host The Do LaB’s famed sustainability music festival, which will run for its eighth year from July 11 to July 15, 2013.

Previously held during Memorial Day Weekend at Orange County’s Oak Canyon Park, the annual four day festival was prompted to find a new location when new zoning resulted in the park bordering Conservancy-owned land, forcing out all large-scale music festivals. The Orange County Fire and Sheriff’s Department provided letters of recommendation to assist the festival in securing its new location.

Lake Skinner County Park is a hidden gem of Temecula in Southern California that The Do LaB feels fortunate to have found for their long term plans. The new site, which sits on a peninsula next to the lake, will expand the capacity of the event to 15,000 participants as well as provide more facilities like full RV hook-ups, while yielding the same natural beauty and open space that made previous festivals so well received. Besides the beautiful view, the new location is also more compact, making the grounds easier to navigate and providing for a more comfortable camping experience.

An amazing lineup of music, speakers, workshops, and performance art is in the works and will be announced on April 23, 2013. The festival will once again feature three main stages for music and performance art along with multiple smaller stages and interactive areas spread throughout the festival grounds for participants to explore and discover workshops, speakers, and intimate music sessions. These smaller stages and interactive areas will also keep the festivities going all night long after the main stages close each night. To beat the heat, there will be daytime water areas and features planned to keep participants cool, similar to The Do LaB’s Oasis stage at Coachella.

Pre-sale tickets go on sale for 48 hours beginning Tuesday, February 12th at 10am PST via Lightning in a Bottle’s website. Regular ticket sales will begin on March 18, 2013.”

The Great Convergence at the Great Pyramids of Egypt Set for Winter Solstice 2012

From TheGreatConvergence2012.com

“Over the Winter Solstice, December 20-22, 2012 at the Great Pyramids of Giza, The Do LaB and The Great Convergence (TGC) present The Great Convergence – a three day music event followed by a five-day Nile cruise. The Great Convergence is a calling of the tribes to gather from across the globe for a once in a lifetime experience to intentionally celebrate this potent, transformational time in our lives culminating in a prophesized galactic astronomical alignment that happens once every 26,000 years.
The Great Convergence will include a selection of top electronic music producers and DJ’s from the west coast’s music scene including headliners Beats Antique, Apparat, Random Rab, Bluetech, Gaudi, Govinda, Desert Dwellers, David Starfire, DJ Dragonfly, Imagika, plus Moontribe DJs: Treavor, Brad, and Dela. Additionally, there will be panels and workshops with various experts to discuss the mysteries of the pyramids and the prophecies of our times.
After the three day music event under the pyramids, the journey will continue from Dec. 23rd-28th with a 4 night/5 day Nile River cruise traveling from Luxor to Aswan to explore some of the world’s most ancient temples during the day while evenings will be opportunities for connection and dance on the rooftops of our boats under the stars.
About the Galactic Alignment
This particular winter solstice on Dec 21/22, 2012 not only denotes the completion and renewal of our yearly orbit around the Sun but also culminates in a prophesized galactic alignment that happens once every 26,000 years. This alignment is what many ancient cultures, like the Mayans, were pointing towards with the completion of their calendars.
Some consider this alignment to be the marker of the beginning of a new era or a new age. Some consider this to be a transition into a new paradigm and an evolutionary turning point for the Earth and humanity. We are certain that something is happening and we will generate a lot of energy in our coming together in Egypt. We invite you to come create this magical journey with us and intentionally celebrate this entrance into a new era.
Accommodations and Tickets
We have arranged for three and five star accommodations at two hotels by the pyramids and aboard two cruise boats for the Nile journey. These are two separate events (the music event and the cruise) and you can choose to participate in either or both. For more information on tickets, please visit the website.”

“April 13-15th will celebrate the 9th annual MMMF. The McDowell Mountain Music Festival exists to integrate and support the community, the arts and the underprivileged. 100% of the proceeds benefit Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Ear Candy Charity.

The Festival took off in April of 2004 as an endeavor to bring real music back to Arizona while getting the community together for a great cause: our children. Each year, the festival brings together a number of bands from a wide variety of genres from all over the world to Arizona. The Festival takes place on the last weekend of April every spring.

It is a great feeling leaning up against the edge of the stage, staring up at your favorite band and enjoying every minute of the performance, but it is an even greater feeling knowing that the proceeds from your ticket will be helping kids in our community! ”

All Good Has Announced Dates and New Location For 2012

From All Good

“The 16th annual All Good Music Festival & Camp Out, July 19-22, 2012, is moving a little bit west to the historic Legend Valley. For those who know your history or were a part of it, Legend Valley was formerly Buckeye Lake Music Center. Located 30 minutes east of downtown Columbus, our new home in Thornville, Ohio was the site of some of the most memorable Grateful Dead shows ever plus historic shows by the Allman Brothers Band, Lollapalooza, AC/DC, numerous Hookahvilles and many more.
Parting is bittersweet. We will always treasure our time at Marvin’s Mountaintop. But we had to take a hard look at the negative impact the West Virginia site had on you, our fans, who sometimes spent 4 to 6 hours covering that last five miles under close scrutiny from authorities.
We had to weigh the impact of our traffic and presence on the local population and local officials who never warmed up to the festival, its legion of loyal fans and our “style”. In 2011 county officials went so far as to pass a crippling Mass Gathering Ordinance that directly targeted All Good and levied an outrageous tax on our event. We would much rather spend this money (your ticket money) on bands, safety and enhancements to your overall festival experience.
Legend Valley has a rich history of hosting similar events and Thornville is excited to have All Good roll into their town. The community is better suited to host us and grateful for the business that we will bring to their rural location.
For some of you in the east, the journey to All Good will be a longer drive, but with our entrance less than a mile off I-70, it may actually take you less time from your front door to your campsite. For all of you, our new site means fast, unobstructed, wind-in-your-hair interstate travel, straight to the lot. Grab your spot in the spacious camping pastures, and settle into the roomy, gently sloping amphitheater. No climbing and plenty of room to groove.
We’ll have your favorite bands, no-overlapping sets, state-of-the-art sound and lights, tons of heavy equipment, bathrooms, and dragon merch, but it won’t be All Good until you get there!
YOU make this festival! We can’t wait to see you again!”
Peace and Music,
The All Good Family
