Trey Anastasio Announces New Album and 2012 Fall Tour

“Traveler, Trey Anastasio’s forthcoming solo album, will be released on October 16 on Rubber Jungle Records / ATO Records. Trey co-produced the album with Peter Katis (The National, Interpol, Jonsi) last fall in Katis’ Tarquin Studios in Bridgeport, CT. Along with Trey Anastasio Band, Katis invited several artists to work with them, including Mates of State’s Kori Gardner, The National’s Bryan Devendorf and Matt Berninger, and Icelandic percussionist Samuli Kosminen.
Album pre-order details will be announced shortly. The first single on the album, “Scabbard,” will be released August 21.
Trey Anastasio Band will return to the road this fall to support Traveler. Tickets for all shows will be available through a real time presale beginning Thursday, August 16th at 10:00 am ET and ending Wednesday, August 22nd, at 5:00 pm ET Trey Tickets. Trey Anastasio Band Release 2011 Fall Run Tour Dates
The run will mark the return of the septet that debuted on his 2010 winter tour, featuring Russ Lawton (drums), Tony Markellis (bass), Ray Paczkowski (keyboards), Russell Remington (tenor saxophone and flute), Jennifer Hartswick (trumpet and vocals) and Natalie Cressman (trombone and vocals).

All proceeds from these downloads will benefit the Boulder Mountain Fire Relief Fund. The fund supports the local volunteer fire departments that fought the Fourmile Canyon Fire along with residents who were directly impacted by the disaster and need some financial support. The Fourmile Canyon fire burned 169 structures and cost over $200 million in damages.”
