“This fall The Word will embark on the supergroup’s most extensive tour since 2002. Guitarist Luther Dickinson, sacred steel specialist Robert Randolph, keyboardist John Medeski, bassist Chris Chew and drummer Cody Dickinson follow an appearance at this month’s Roots N Blues N BBQ Festival in Missouri with a cross-country, 14-show jaunt that begins at The Fillmore in San Francisco on October 1. The tour also hits L.A., Anaheim, Solana Beach, Las Vegas, Boulder, Denver, Chicago, Millvale, D.C., Glenside and NYC before it comes to a close at The Paradise in Boston on October 17.”
