Suwannee Hulaween 2015 will return to The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, FL October 30th-November 1st. The festival will feature Three Nights of String Cheese Incident, Pretty Lights, Primus, Chance the Rapper and The Social Experiment, STS9, Railroad Earth Slightly, Lettuce, Papadosio, Dopapod, Future Rock, The New Mastersounds, Turbo Suit & More!

Festival goers can also get excited for the return of an expanded Spirit Lake – an experiential artistic glowing menagerie of multimedia metalwork, paintings, sculptures, light projections and live performances that morphs the prehistoric-looking forest into a vivid dream-like space. With hardly any overlapping sets throughout the weekend, attendees have plenty of timeto wander the mystical campgrounds abuzz with costumed fans and interactive theme camps while not missing any music they want to experience. “Big IV Productions has announced the initial line-up for the eighth installment of the Bear Creek Music & Art Festival taking place November 13th – 16th, 2014 at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, FL. Steeped in the tradition of New Orleans and New York funk music, each year just before Thanksgiving fans of powerful big band music descend upon the hallowed grounds of SOSMP for four days. Bear Creek’s exceptional line-up also showcases the eclectic nature of the scene; encompassing genre-defining performers in world and roots music, live electronic, rock, and everything in between. As is tradition at Bear Creek, many of the bands perform on two separate dates during the weekend and several talented instrumentalists act as artists-at-large, creating memorable surprise sit-ins and inspired performances.

Big IV Productions has unveiled the phase two artists for Bear Creek Music & Art Festival taking place November 13th – 16th, 2014 at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park (SOSMP) in Live Oak, FL. Taking the stage at the eighth annual event is Soulive, Zach Deputy, The Floozies, St. Paul & the Broken Bones, Oteil Burbridge and Roosevelt Collier Band, Nicholas Payton Trio, Monophonics, Earphunk, Mingo Fishtrap, The Fritz, Locos Por Juana, The Broadcast, Curtis Harding, Catfish Alliance, Andrew Block Band, Herd Of Watts and 14 artists-at-large including Bernard Purdie, Pee Wee Ellis, and George Porter Jr.

Announcing Catskill Chill 2014 with Yonder Mountain, The New Deal, Lettuce & More

“Taking place at the picturesque Camp Minglewood in Hancock, New York September 5th – 7th, 2014, Catskill Chill Music Festival unveils the lineup for their fifth anniversary, once again providing an intimate experience that delivers big name acts up close and personal in a secluded summer camp environment.

A the top of this year’s artist line-up is Yonder Mountain String Band with special guest Allie Kral, The New Deal, Lettuce, Electron, Shpongle (Simon Posford DJ Set), Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Papadosio, The New Mastersounds, Dopapod, Kung Fu, Particle, Break Science, Nahko and Medicine for the People, Marco Benevento, The Breakfast, The Heavy Pets and Orchard Lounge.

Continuing their tradition of offering a unique twist with returning artists, the Chill has announced a number of tribute sets. In addition to their original sets, Turkuaz will pay homage to Sly & The Family Stone and Twiddle will offer up their electric take on Grateful Dead tunes, while Alan Evans’ Playonbrother tackles a set of legendary Cream. We will also see the unveiling of Aron Magner & Tom Hamilton: Acoustic Again at Acoustic Junction.

While the performance schedule alone is reason enough to attend this annual event, it is the intimacy and unique grounds that make Catskill Chill one of the most highly anticipated festivals of the season. With a limited capacity, no campsite is more than a few minute walk to the stages and anyone can make their way up to the front for their favorite sets. Hosted at a secluded performing arts summer camp where childhood dreams merge with the music festival culture, the “Chillfam” as Chill’s loving community have coined themselves, bunk-up in 16-person sleep away camp-style cabins, creating decorated theme camps and hosting late-night jams. Two of the five stages, the intimate Acoustic Junction and the DJ Stage are located in the heart of the campground, filling Camp Minglewood with music of all genres from morning until night. The festival also features free parking, free camping, daily yoga, live art, a farmer’s market, craft and food vendors, a communal bonfire nightly and an open mic.

Taking place May 9 – 11, 2014, the three-day music festival honors the memory of longtime friend of SOSMP and music festival lover Rachel Morningstar Hoffman.

The 2014 event features a diverse line-up of artists including: experimental world fusion performers Beats Antique; Emancipator Ensemble, a four-piece live band that builds on Emancipator’s original trip-hop downtempo production; England’s funky four-piece The New Mastersounds; dynamic genre-bending rock band The Heavy Pets; soul-music super group The Nth Power; the conscious world-reggae of DubConscious; Space Capone’s retro disco-funk; multi-instrumentalist sisters Rising Appalachia; bass-driven live electronic trio Greenhouse Lounge, and more.
