“Umphrey’s McGee returns to Colorado for Independence Day 2016 weekend to headline two shows at the one and only Red Rocks Amphitheatre. On Saturday, July 2nd we will be joined by special guests Zappa Plays Zappa and Sinkane, while on Sunday July 3rd, we welcome Joe Russo’s Almost Dead and The Main Squeeze. This marks the first time Umphrey’s McGee will headline consecutive nights at the famed venue.

“AURA Music Group and Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park have announced the phase one line-up for the seventh annual AURA Music & Arts Festival taking place March 3 – 5, 2016 at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park (SOSMP) in Live Oak, Florida. Performing at AURA are live electronica pioneers The Disco Biscuits, Bay area feel-good rock band ALO, high-energy funk quintet The Main Squeeze, The Heavy Pets with a special tribute to the ‘80s featuring Jennifer Hartswick and Natalie Cressman, hybrid tribute fusion masters Pink Talking Fish, nine-piece power funk army Turkuaz, Tom Hamilton’s American Babies, the southern psychedelia of Bright Light Social Hour and many others. Additional headliners and artists will be announced in the coming weeks.
AURA is more than just a music festival. It is a much-loved celebratory weekend of music, art and community attracting fans from around the country. The ever-expanding Yoga & Healing Arts Program will offer more than 20 classes and workshops throughout the week and fans can dance in the Silent Disco into the morning hours. The grounds are also home to one of the most beautiful natural amphitheaters in the US made only more awe-inspiring by AURA’s strong attention to sound and lighting production.
Set in the midst of 800 acres of Spanish moss-draped oak and cypress trees along the Suwannee River, the venue is a playground for endless activities such as swimming, canoeing, kayaking, disc golf and biking. The park also offers guest comforts including a general store, full-service restaurant, free showers, indoor bathrooms and water stations.

“Big IV Productions has announced the initial line-up for the eighth installment of the Bear Creek Music & Art Festival taking place November 13th – 16th, 2014 at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, FL. Steeped in the tradition of New Orleans and New York funk music, each year just before Thanksgiving fans of powerful big band music descend upon the hallowed grounds of SOSMP for four days. Bear Creek’s exceptional line-up also showcases the eclectic nature of the scene; encompassing genre-defining performers in world and roots music, live electronic, rock, and everything in between. As is tradition at Bear Creek, many of the bands perform on two separate dates during the weekend and several talented instrumentalists act as artists-at-large, creating memorable surprise sit-ins and inspired performances.
Recognized as one of the most beautiful live music venues in the country, Bear Creek goers can enjoy music on three outdoor stages and one indoor stage including the famed Amphitheater Stage, set in the midst of towering pine and oak trees decorated with Spanish moss. “AURA Music Festival 2015 has announced the addition of iconic jamband moe. to the already impressive 2015 line-up making this the biggest year yet for the homegrown music festival. Taking place at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park (SOSMP) in Live Oak, Florida March 6 – 8, moe. will play two sets, joining headlining artists The Disco Biscuits, Papadosio and Snarky Puppy.
AURA has also added two sets by high-energy funk quintet The Main Squeeze including a very special Tribute to Michael Jackson, along with returning artists Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and McLovins. Chicago’s versatile electronic trio Cosby Sweater will make their AURA debut along with South Florida’s improvisational Stinky Pockets. True to AURA’s collaborative nature artists-at-large The Shady Horns (Ryan Zoidis and Eric Bloom of Lettuce) will pop up in several sets throughout the weekend with their sax and trumpet in tow.
For fans that want to arrive early, Ghost Owl has been added to the Thursday night pre-party with Dopapod and Kung Fu. Tickets are available as part of the four-day ticket package.
