From TheVilleFestival.com

“Crazylegs Productions is excited to announce the addition of the band moe., The Wood Brothers and Fletcher’s Grove to the lineup of The Ville Music Festival this upcoming Labor Day Weekend. The event is hosted by Ohio favorite ekoostik hookah and is hitting the scene with a solid lineup including some bands rarely seen in Ohio such as moe.
Acts include Zach Deputy, Rumpke Mountain Boys, The Congress, Blue Moon Soup, Fletcher’s Grove, Jones for Revival, KR-3, The Steepwater Band, Dead Ahead, Terrapin Moon, Erika Hughes and the Well Mannered. The historic event is shaping up to be a fantastic mix of musical styles and sounds and allows people from all over the country to bring their families to the resort waterpark for music and fun in an action-packed weekend of excitement for the whole family.
The Summer Ville (previously Hookahville) marks its 40th show and is an Ohio music festival institution that began in 1994. The festival has been held on Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends every year since then. Hosted by the Columbus, Ohio group ekoostik hookah, who headline both nights. The Wood Brothers and Rumpke Mountain Boys will be the “early bird” acts on Friday August 30th, with The Wood Brothers taking the stage at 8:30 PM to kick off the weekend.
Once again ekoostik hookah is pioneering music festival evolution by hosting their event at a popular waterpark in Northeastern Ohio. Clay’s Park (www.clayspark.com) is located in N. Lawrence, Ohio. 30 miles from Akron and Canton, and 50 miles from Cleveland. Clay’s Park is an amazing venue that offers, among other things, a huge waterpark with slides, barrels, rings, zip lines and more.
Use of the waterpark is included with 3 day and 2 day tickets. Saturday and Sunday 2 day tickets are available presale for only $65. Add “early bird” Friday for only $20 more. And, if you want to come Thursday to set up and get your weekend started early, it is $20 at the gate.
Gates will open at noon on Thursday, Augusts 29. Presale tickets are available now at www.thevillefestival.com.”

Rootwire Announces 2012 Artist Additions: Chali 2na, Signal Path, UV Hippo & More

From RootwireFestival.com
“Everyone in the Rootwire Family is extremely pleased to bring you the second installation of the 2012 Artist Lineup! This is easily the most powerfully diverse collection of musicians and visionaries the Midwest has ever seen, and we cannot express enough gratitude to the artists themselves for making this happen. This year’s festival breaks free of the standards imposed by the status quo, and delves into new genres of music, art, and spirituality.

We have found that many a festival’s music tends to sound the same so this year we decided to focus on diversity. Other than our massive collection of the world’s best conscious electronic dance producers and bands, we are introducing new musical styles this year such as world, hip hop, free form jazz, dub reggae, and progressive art rock. Our visionary guests include world renowned painters, digital designers, and many Burning Man installation artists, in an effort to further the festival’s inspirational capacity. The word is out, and we have never been so excited for an event in our entire lives!”
