Umphrey's McGee - West Coast 2017

From Umphrey’s McGee

“Umphrey’s McGee is pleased to bring you a fresh batch of 2017 tour dates. On top of our previously announced three-night Atlanta extravaganza, slated for January 13th through the 15th at the Tabernacle, we are dropping nine new ones on you. Right. Now.

Spafford joins us on the road as a Special Guest for the meat of the run, and January 26th thru the 29th, saxophone virtuoso Joshua Redman rejoins UM on stage to bring some serious heat to the Northeast winter.

Let’s kick off 2017 the only way we know how, with face-melting Umphrey’s McGee rock (of course).”

Video ~ Pimps of Joytime Drop “Dance Cardia” Ahead of Red Rocks Debut

Pimps Of Joytime

From The Pimps of Joytime

“Today, just two days ahead of their Red Rocks debut, today, Brooklyn’s Pimps of Joytime released their lighthearted new music video for “Dance Cardia.” Directed by Jean Shepherd, the video was shot on location in the band’s hometown of Brooklyn, NY. It reveals frontman Brian J as “The Hustler” versus his childhood foil, “The People’s Champ”, as they converge for a climactic game of Jenga by the train tracks.

“Dance Cardia” is the last single from the Pimps’ most recent LP, Jukestone Paradise (2015, Write Home Records). Brian J co-wrote the funky dance track with Alex Toth of Rubblebucket.

The Pimps premiered the video yesterday through the Denver Post’s music blog, Reverb, as a gift for their Colorado fans before they perform on the legendary Red Rocks stage for the first time as a group this Thursday, July 14.

“Colorado has been real good to us over the past 6 years. There seems to be a genuine appreciation for what we do out here,” said Brian J. “It’s a privilege to be invited to play the amazing Red Rocks Amphitheater and we have our fans to thank for it.”

Pimps of Joytime perform in Telluride, CO tonight, July 13, headlining Telluride Mountain Village’s free summer concert series at Sunset Plaza. The band then travels to Morrison, CO to open the Red Rocks show with Galactic and Boombox tomorrow evening, Thursday, July 14.”

Widespread Panic Fall Tour 2009

From WidespreadPanic.com
“Known for their amazing live shows and the frequency at which they tour, blues-inspired southern rock band Widespread Panic have been creating a dedicated following since forming in the early ’80s. Based on the strength of their musicianship, songs like the Billboard charting “Can’t Get High” and “Hope in a Hopeless World,” and energetic live shows, they’ve managed to rank among the top 50 grossing touring acts for eight years straight without the aid of substantial radio play, television appearances, or retail store promotion.

In December 2003, after playing annually for 18 years (adding up to over 100 dates!) and breaking sell-out records for Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Oak Mountain Amphitheatre, Philips Arena and UNO Lakefront Arena, the band decided to take a well-deserved break. But in 2005, fans nationwide were treated to Widespread Panic’s highly anticipated return to the road.”
