“Guitarist Warren Haynes will host the 28th annual Christmas Jam on December 10 at U.S. Cellular Center in Asheville, North Carolina. The concert once again benefits Asheville Area Habitat For Humanity.

The lineup includes Warren Haynes and his band Gov’t Mule as well as Bob Weir, Michael McDonald, Jamey Johnson & Alison Krauss and The Last Waltz Band featuring Haynes, McDonald, Johnson, Don Was, John Medeski, Terrence Higgins and others. Special guests on the 2016 lineup include Branford Marsalis, George Porter Jr., Steve Kimock, Marcus King, Kevn Kinney, Audley Freed, Bob Margolin and Mike Barnes.

“We are very excited for the 28th Annual Christmas Jam this Saturday, December 10 at the U.S. Cellular Center in Asheville, NC. While the show has been sold out for a while, we are happy to offer those of you who still want to see the show the ability to live stream the entire concert from Nugs.net. Stops include Chicago, Burlington, Albany, Philly, DC and Mike’s return to Nashville for the first time since 2011. The tour ends with the band’s first multi-night run, with a special intimate three-nighter at The Sinclair in Cambridge, MA.

His band includes longtime collaborators Scott Murawski and Craig Myers, as well as two additions last year: organ and synth-master Robert Walter and sharp-shooter John Kimock on drums.”

“Papadosio have announced the release of their new EP, Pattern Integrities Vol. I due out September 21st, 2016, and phase one of the Pattern Integrities tour, kicking off with three nights headlining the Resonance Music Festival in Thornville, OH and concluding with two shows at Brooklyn’s iconic Brooklyn Bowl.
The Pattern Integrities tour introduces a new concept from Papadosio: The Pattern Integrity, or “P.I”, set. The P.I. set is in tribute to the great mind of Buckminster Fuller, and features live looping, sequencing, sampling, improvisation, and synthesis. The P.I. set is an effort to do something original, not just with the music itself, but the way in which it is performed. Fans can get a sneak peak of the P.I. set in the just released EP teaser video here.

Papadosio will dedicate the first night to the P.I. set in cities with two shows; and the first set in cities with one show. Papadosio presale for non-festival shows starts Thursday, July 28th. Local on-sales begin on Friday, July 29th.”

Fishbone Releases Sublime’s “Date Rape” in 360 Virtual Reality in Honor of Bradley Nowell

In honor of the spirit and artistic contributions of the late Bradley Nowell, who passed away 20 years ago; LA’s legendary ska-punk-rockers, Fishbone debuts their virtual reality music video of Sublime’s “Date Rape” in “360° Experience”, live from The Roxy in West Hollywood, CA. Sublime originally released the song “Date Rape” back in 1992, off their LP 40 oz to Freedom.

“With all due respect to Bradley Nowell and the rest of the Sublime family, this is one of the many Sublime songs that cuts my heart, but its the main one I wish Fishbone would have written,” says co-founder and bass player Norwood Fisher.

One of the first Hollywood production houses to specialize in VR content, Experience 360° uses cutting-edge technology & workflows to produce original content for all consumer devices from traditional, two-dimensional access to content on phones, tablets, computers, and televisions in up to 8K resolution. The technical challenges in past attempts to create immersive virtual environments have been overcome by Experience 360°. The current challenge faced by the industry is generating compelling immersive content for this new medium.

Fishbone hits the road this week, starting May 26 in Cleveland, OH, then heads to Summer Camp Music Festival in Chillicothe, IL May 28, and many stops along the way in Minneapolis, Detroit, St. Louis and more.

“The String Cheese Incident is thrilled to reveal their full 2016 summer tour schedule, featuring 20+ shows coast to coast! After headlining Electric Forest, SCI will celebrate 4th of July weekend with “Independence Incidents” in Asheville, NC and Atlanta, GA, followed by dates in Cooperstown, NY, Columbia, MD and Portsmouth, VA. SCI will then return to Red Rocks in July for a three night stand at the famed venue in Morrison, CO, before heading to the Northwest with stops in Missoula, MT, Redmond, WA, and Eugene, OR. The band will then head back to the East Coast for an appearance at The Peach Music Festival in Scranton, PA before closing the tour with two nights at the newly reopened Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, NY.

Tickets for Red Rocks and Peach Festival are currently on sale HERE. All other shows (except Merriweather) will go on sale Wed, March 9th at 11am MST via SCI Ticketing followed by a public on sale on Fri, March 11th via venue outlets. Couch Tour is back and we’re not messing around. ​​UM is happy to announce yet another webcast collaboration between Umphrey’s McGee and TourGigs, bringing you the entire tour, a whopping 15 nights! We will be kicking things off ​TONIGHT in Cleveland, OH and bringing you every single ​show through ​the double header in Asheville, NC on February ​20t​h. Shows can be streamed with an Event Pass for $12.99, or you can buy the ​​Tour Pass ​- ​access to all 15 shows​ – ​for $129.99​ (a $65 savings). ​

​We are debuting some exciting new features​ for this tour​. Firstly, anyone who purchases any show (Event Pass or Tour Pass) gets access to the replay as well as On Demand. The replay, available almost immediately after the show is over, is a looping replay of the show​ with no viewer controlled playback.​ The On Demand​, ​available the day after the show, ​allows you to start, pause, fast forward etc. the entire show. “Distinctive, groove-heavy, and danceable, Donna the Buffalo is a band for the people. One of the most dynamic and determined bands continuously touring America for since 1989, Donna the Buffalo has created a community environment at their shows through their distinctive, groove-heavy, and danceable music.”

Donna the Buffalo is happy to announce their new year’s and winter tour for 2016! They travel into Florida leading up to the New Year with a show in Ponte Vedra Beach on the 30th of December and they ring in the new year on NYE at Skipper’s in Tampa. They continue on in early January through Stuart, Boca Raton, Key West, and Orlando before heading back up north for stops in Saxapahaw, NC as well as Charlottesville, and Richmond, Virginia before a short break.

The tour picks back up again at The Hamilton in Washington, DC on January, 22nd as they travel south to play Asheville’s Orange Peel the following day. The following Thursday they meet up with Ben Cohen (Co-founder of Ben and Jerry’s) for another Stampede show – this one Free – in Plymouth, NH on the 28th. That weekend they roam the northeast with shows in Jim Thorpe, Buffalo, and Infinity Hall in Norfolk.

In early February they hit the Brooklyn Bowl, Club Helsinki Hudson, the Narrow Center for the Arts in Fall River and the Bull Run Concert Series near Boston, MA. Inventive New York City-based band, City of the Sun will open along select winter shows.

Donna the Buffalo is the host band for the Virginia Key GrassRoots Festival of Music, Art & Dance in Miami and they’ll be performing throughout the weekend from Thursday-Sunday, February 18-21. Stay tuned for more dates to be announced for late winter and early spring!

Donna the Buffalo is Jeb Puryear (vocals, electric guitar) and Tara Nevins (vocals, guitar, fiddle, accordion, scrubboard) joined by David McCracken (Hammond organ, Hohner Clavinet & piano), Kyle Spark (bass) and Mark Raudabaugh (drums). “It’s been really fun with this lineup,” Puryear says. “You get to the point where you’re playing on a really high level, things are clicking and it’s like turning on the key to a really good car. It just goes.”

Donna the Buffalo is a band for the people that is accessible, positive, and memorable. With roots in old time fiddle music that evolved into a soulful electric American mix infused with elements of cajun/ zydeco, rock, folk, reggae, and country.

“For the dizzying array of styles and genres with which they work, Donna The Buffalo maintain a surprising level of consistency… over the course of their 25-year career, they retain a sharp focus that has helped them create some truly lasting music…” writes Elmore. “Few groups are this comfortable as performers, and even fewer would take as many risks.”

Umphrey’s McGee announces the start of 2016 with a 25-plus-date national tour kicking off with a three-night run at the historic Beacon Theatre in NYC, two nights in Asheville for our first arena double-header, and a triumphant return to the Left Coast in March. Instrumental rock-fusion quartet, TAUK, joins us for over 15 performances, as well as our friends The Motet in Asheville, and saxophone virtuoso Joshua Redman on select dates.

2016 marks Umphrey’s 18th year on the road! In our continued effort to push the envelope of heightened fan experiences, our immersive high-end audio offering Headphones & Snowcones will be offered during the 2016 tour, alongside umVIP Enhanced Experience programs. Get the full umVIP experience at our triple-headers in New York City and Aspen, as well as our two-night arena stand in Asheville. “Nothing Too Fancy” umVIP ticket upgrades will also be available in Kalamazoo, Richmond, and Sandpoint.
