Jimkata Releases ‘Ten More Songs!” Live Album

“Jimkata has released their first official live album, ’10 More Songs!’, which documents the long miles and countless hours spent honing newer compositions and reworking old favorites. The album features 14 tracks recorded in 2012/2013 at many of their favorite New York venues, paying homage to their home state. 10 More Songs! chronicles the band’s evolution across their four studio albums from ‘07s fast-tempoed “Mind Crossing” to the dub-tinged “Greyhound” and sing-along fan favorites, “Chain Store” and “Night Shade” off Die Digital, as well as the unrecorded track “Soap”. The four-piece is also back in the studio with Die Digital producer Jocko Randall to record the follow-up EP, “Feel In Light,’ due out in early 2014.“

    Video ~ Mike Gordon Announce 2014 Tour Dates

    “To celebrate the release of Overstep, Mike’s band will return to the road with a North American tour that will kick off at the Westcott Theatre in Syracuse, NY on February 28. The run will include shows at New York City’s Webster Hall (March 1), the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles (March 17) and the historic Fillmore in San Francisco (March 18) and the band’s first performance in Vancouver, BC, Canada (March 22). He’ll be joined on the road by his longtime band – Scott Murawski (guitar), Craig Myers (percussion), Tom Cleary (keyboards) and Todd Isler (drums). The band’s new repertoire will be augmented by hints of secret synesthetic mad scientist gadgetry on and around the stage.

    “Trey Anastasio Band will return to the road this January and February for a thirteen date Winter Tour, beginning with a two-night stand at the Ogden Theatre in Denver, CO (January 28 and 29). The run will include TAB’s first shows in New Orleans since 2005 (February 7 and 8 at House of Blues) and the group’s first-ever show in Orlando, FL (February 11 at House of Blues). On Valentine’s Day, Trey Anastasio Band will return to The Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA, where the live album TAB at the Tab was recorded in 2010.
