Hope For Natalie Nakatani

Hope For Natalie Nakatani
Video from Patrick Biesemans on Vimeo.

Natalie is 8yrs old and was diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukemia. (AML) After 5 rounds of chemo, Natalie was in remission, but as of 1/19/10 her cancer is back. Her only chance for survival is a bone marrow transplant. Please register to donate. You could be the one to save her life. Go to dkmsamericas.org or HopeForNatalie.com

The current odds for an ethnic minority patient, like Natalie to find a matching unrelated donor may be close to 1 in a million. This is the reason they are trying so hard to reach as many people in the Asian population as possible. The more Asians we get swabbed, the more likely Natalie will find her “Needle In A Hay-Stack” match. Please spread the word to get people interested in the fight to SAVE Natalie’s life.

Video ~ Organic: Food, Farming, & Health

Of all the different green options before you, the most important choice is what you eat. Not everyone can drive a hybrid or ride public transportation, but everyone can make choices about their food. Organic farming means farming with Mother Nature and the more people know about the benefits of organic, the better our environment will be. Let organic become the conventional of the future. The land depends on it. Our ecosystem depends on it. And the future of our children really depends on it.

Timelapse Coal Fired Power Plant

Timelapse Coal Fired Power Plant
Video from Jeff Grewe on Vimeo.

A compilation of timelapse videos of the MidAmerican Energy power plant just south of Council Bluffs Iowa. The music is from the movie trailer for “The Shining”

I did not make this video to make a political statement. My intentions were purely artistic. The imagery is intense: I found audio to compliment it. That I made a compelling global warming propaganda piece was purely an accident. This is political because it is coal: I photographed it because it was beautiful, monstrous, terrifically enormous. I don’t care that it is coal, but it is ok if you do.
