From Governors Ball on YouTube
“TV Free Media’s promo video and coverage of the inaugural Governors Ball Music Festival, a Founders Entertainment event. The one day summer event took place June 18th, 2011 on Governors Island, located off the southern tip of Manhattan.
The action packed festival featured two stages of non-stop live music, no overlapping sets, interactive art installations, a World Series of Beer Pong Satellite Tournament, summer sports (e.g. basketball and volleyball), a dance competition and dozens of specialty vendors offering food, beer, merchandise, etc. The surplus of entertainment options, amazing weather, and smooth production led to an overwhelming success for The Governors Ball in 2011.
Heralded as “the perfect one-day festival” (Rum-Bum) in only its first year, the future looks unusually bright for New York City’s hottest up-and-coming summer party.”

Cirque du Womp is producing our very first music and arts festival this summer, called THE BLASTOFF. We look forward to creating and playing in a boundless magical setting on over 100 acres of open land in Western Ohio with you. The fest will feature music from a variety of genres, diverse and interactive performance, and art installations that will inspire the masses. Three-dimensional string art playgrounds, teepee hideaway huts, free form nature walks, a solid selection of workshops, an artist panel discussion, community building exercises, drum circle bonfires, and of course, K@DOG and his Cirque du Womp freakshow, will fuse together for two nights of sensational wonder. It’s time for Blastoff!

“Blast-Off festival is def one of the best line up’s of the summer. I like that they weren’t afraid to be original you know… I’m really grateful to be a part of such an amazing event. This Caliber of Musicianship in one area is breathtaking. So far everyone I’ve talked to about our set is super stoked,” says Patrick Scalambrino from the band EP3.
“I think people will not be able to wipe the smile off their faces…I think people will run, jump, dance, swim in the pond…get lost in our sacred forests, meet new friends deep in the woods within our galactic temple…there is nothing about this festival that we as producers and performers and festival goers ourselves are not proud
As an artist collective based, Cirque du Womp values environment and freedom over sponsorship and time-constraints, and created The Blastoff Festival campout extravaganza with all of this is mind. Palaian wants to encourage people headed to The Blastoff Festival this weekend, that it is all about meeting new faces, while staying focused on the music, the workshops, the art and the vibrations. “Time will fly, see and appreciate all that you can!”
