The tradition began on Halloween 1994 with Phish covering The Beatles’ The White Album. In subsequent years, they covered The Who’s Quadrophenia, Talking Heads’ Remain in Light and the Velvet Underground’s Loaded.

Wuhnurth Recap 2009 at The Waterbowl

I will have to say that this past weekend was probably the most fun weekend I’ve had all summer, from the Pre-Party with Shadyside to a late night dance party with Twin Cats at Wuhnurth! I for sure saw some amazing musicians THROW DOWN this weekend! Wuhnurth Music Festival was a complete success for Hidden Relic. We made new contacts, learned a few things, and most importantly we enjoyed the weekend with kindest family I’ve ever known.

Somewhere between 2,000-3,000 people flooded the Waterbowl to see good music, spread love, and support environmental initiatives. Smiling faces, dancing feet, and blue skies were the highlights of the weekend for me. All the bands were phenomenal, but I will say Pnuma Trio is now in my top 5 favorite bands.

Video ~ The Ragbirds “Brave New Beat” at Hoxeyville 2009

The Ragbirds perform “Brave New Beat” August 21, 2009 at Hoxeyville Musical Festival in Michigan. The Zindle siblings have rendered the newest of sparks in an already hot, always on target band. This video, captured by kellybeez and edited by technotom, is the Friday night performance of the band on the second stage at Hoxeyville. The rain forced a collection of waterproofing gear and as much plastic as tolerable in order to protect expensive equipment. With quick response, Michigan festival goers honored the request and gave love and the requested plastic to Miss Erin, Randall, TJ, Dan, and Tim, that night. (technobeeztv: September 28, 2009)
