“Wicked Cool Productions is proud to present Rock n Roll Resort v5: Electric Avenue welcoming in its first wave lineup: Fishbone, Easy Star All-Stars, Twiddle x2, Consider the Source, The Werks x2, Organically Good Trio (featuring Paul from Slightly Stoopid), The Skints (UK), Beau Sasser’s Escape Plan, Adam Ezra Group, Dangermuffin, The Kind Buds, Frank Viele, Formula 5, Gaslight Tinkers, Relative Souls, Strange Machines, Sprocket, People with Instruments, Demise vs Cheatcode & DJ N.E.B., Digital Storm, Political Animals, and The Mary Jame Jones. The resort takeover happens April 30 – May 3, 2015 at the newly renovates Hudson Valley Resort & Spa, Kerhonksen, New York, in the heart of the Shawangunk Mountains in the gorgeous Catskills.
The v5: Electric Avenue installment of Rock n Roll Resort 2015 will showcase an inspired mix of super talent with over 60 hours of musical entertainment, collaborative live art, activities including a disc-golf tournament and mini-golf tournament, workshops and theme nights, cyberistic euphoria, delicious catering and even a festival vendor row; all at an affordable price and within the conveniences of the Hudson Valley Resort & Spa. Many artists will take the stage multiple times throughout the weekend, and many more artists will be announced for the second wave lineup.
“For Electric Avenue, I wanted to blend a few concepts together. There’s The ‘Road to The Resort’ competition for up and coming bands, there’s the indoor vending that will be fashioned as an electric avenue, and there’s our continued relationship with the creative folks at Magic Hat Brewing,” says Shannon Plaquet, producer of Rock n Roll Resort. “It’s going to be one of the most diversified lineups of old school meets new school that we’ve ever had. We’ve dialed in pretty much everything in previous events and this one should be the best event yet.”
The full immersion Rock n Roll Resort experience is inviting and intriguing, expansive yet intimate, as fans, artists and craft vendors take over the grand resort. With music running from the afternoons until well past sunrise each day, super fans can dance into a frenzy, then walk back to their hotel rooms to re-energize or head to the dining hall for catered lunch or dinner. Rock n Roll Resort fans leave their tents at home and kick off the festival season in style!

The music will kick-off on three stages, starting afternoons in Jaco Beach at The Beach Stage overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The evening action moves into the friendly confines of Hotel DoceLunas outside oasis, where the Main Stage will host the festival’s biggest bands and international headliners. UK reggae legends Steel Pulse will close the Main Stage Thursday night (March 19), 17 piece world electronic ensemble Thievery Corporation headlines Friday night (March 20), California’s finest Slightly Stoopid graces the Main Stage on Saturday night (March 21) and Sunday closes with a strong finale of Jamaican Reggae that features Mykal Rose (of Black Uhuru), rising new star Jesse Royal, and for their first time appearance ever in Costa Rica, Royal reggae family Morgan Heritage.
No Jungle Jam would be complete without a strong U.S. jam band contingent, and 2015 is no exception featuring multiple sets from Papadosio, Dopapod, Twiddle, The Werks, and Zach Deputy. A Late Night Stage, which promises to see some surprise collaborations from Jungle Jam’s favorite musicians, will also include DJ sets from Thievery Corporation’s Rob Garza and Congo Sanchez, spinning until the sun comes up.
In addition to the all-day music schedule, major headliners, and beautiful beaches of Jaco, Jungle Jam also offers a spectacular array of classic Costa Rican excursions. Deep sea fishing, canopy zip-line tours, sailboat snorkeling cruises, surfing, ATV tours, horseback riding, sea kayaking, crocodile jungle river tours, and tours of nearby Manuel Antonio National Park are just a few off-site adventures festival goers may experience. Purple Hatter’s Ball 2015 Announce Return to Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park

“Howling Wolves Present has announced dates for the eighth annual Purple Hatter’s Ball 2015. Taking place at the famed Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park (SOSMP) in Live Oak, Florida May 8 – 10, 2015, the three-day music festival benefits The Rachel Morningstar Foundation (a non-profit 501c3 organization) in honor of longtime SOSMP friend and music festival lover Rachel Morningstar Hoffman.
The line-up is set to be released on Monday, February 9, but past Purple Hatter’s Ball (PHB) performers include Beats Antique, Lettuce, Emancipator Ensemble, The New Mastersounds, The Motet, Floozies, The Nth Power, The Heavy Pets and many more, along with a mix of Florida’s most talented bands and DJs. PHB also features live art, yoga, workshops and more engaging activities. However, the most memorable moment of the weekend is when Rachel’s loving mother, Margie Weiss (aka Mama Margie), leads an emotional Mother’s Day Ceremony, celebrating her daughter’s memory.
Howling Wolves Present will also host an official onsite pre-party on Thursday, May 7 inviting fans to arrive at SOSMP a day early and providing the perfect opportunity to take advantage of the park’s endless activities such as swimming, canoeing, kayaking, biking and disc golf. The park also offers guest comforts including cabins, golf carts, a general store, a full-service restaurant, showers and water stations.
A limited number of early bird tickets will go on sale Thursday, January 15 for $79 + taxes and fees. Tickets will include three days of music and primitive camping.
