Announcing The Everyone Orchestra 2016 Winter Shows

Everyone Orchestra - Winter 2016

From Everyone Orchestra

“Everyone Orchestra is happy to announce the addition of a handful of winter shows after they return from Jam Cruise. They will play in Beaver Creek, Colorado at Vilar performing Arts Center on Thursday, January 14th and then head over to Denver for a two night stand at Cervantes for the venue’s 14th Year Anniversary Party on January 15-16th. Early March has EO returning to the midwest with shows at The Ark in Ann Arbor (3/2), Bell’s Brewery in Kalamazoo (3/3), 1st Ward at the Chop Shop in Chicago (3/4), the Majestic Theatre in Madison (3/5), and The Cabooze in Minneapolis (3/6). Stay tuned for artist announcements for the Winter shows!

EO is also is excited about their two night run at The Barkley Ballroom in Frisco, Co on Fri-Sat, December 18-19, 2015 to help the venue celebrate its 3rd Anniversary and have announced the additions of Eddie Roberts (The New Mastersounds – guitar) for both nights, Chuck Morris (Lotus – percussion) and Amanda Renee for Friday, as well as Scott Stoughton (Bonfire Dub) on Saturday.

Conducted by Matt Butler, and already set to perform at the Barkley are Al Schnier (moe. – guitar, vacals), Jason Hann (String Cheese Incident – percussion/drums), Bridget Law (Elephant Revival – fiddle), Jay Starling (Love Canon – dobro), Sage Cook (we dream dawn – guitar, vocals), Adrian Engfer (The Grant Farm – bass). The Grant Farm opens the show!

Having marched clearly into uncharted territory, Everyone Orchestra is an avant-garde conceptual and collaborative performance which deeply encourages and requires audience interaction. Both the band and the audience start the show with a clean slate to help co-create a dynamic musical experience, with Butler receiving ideas from the audience to help set the course of action.

Butler’s unique style of conducting is groundbreaking in that he, as EO’s founder, has essentially created an entirely new way to perform and experience music. Butler says, “Playing with different musicians, improvising every night, and getting the crowd involved in ways that they can’t be at a regular show has provided an unparalleled live music experience.””

Mike Gordon June Tour 2015 Dates Announced

Mike Gordon June Tour 2015

From Mike-Gordon.com
“Mike Gordon returns to the road with his band on the heels of last year’s exhilarating tour supporting Overstep. The Mike Gordon June Tour 2015 will begin down south in Charleston, SC and will include stops in St. Louis, Chicago, Philly, Albany, Buffalo, New Haven and more. Mike will perform as part of the Lowell Summer Music Series just outside of Boston and will return to the famed Egg in Albany.

A limited number of tickets are available NOW via a real-time presale at tickets.mike-gordon.com which ends Thursday, April 9 at 5PM ET. Tickets will go on sale to the public beginning Friday, April 10.
The band will make a few debuts along the way including The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, Paper Mill Island in Syracuse and a Father’s Day show at the Academy of Music in Northampton. The band’s repertoire will be augmented by hints of synesthetic mad scientist gadgetry on and around the stage.

Wired Magazine came out to a show on Mike’s March tour last year to experience and talk about the new visual, audio and interactive tech-ification that will be a part of this June run. Mike will be bringing along his band – Scott Murawski (guitar), Craig Myers (percussion), Robert Walter (keyboards) and John Kimock (drums).

“I like the idea of breaking down boundaries,” Gordon says. Of the theatrics and curiosities onstage on the Overstep tour, the centerpiece is an interactive piano-like instrument spanning the lip of the stage. At certain points during the show, touch-sensitive panels illuminate; by tapping on them, audience members trigger sounds and jam with the band as it plays. That’s just one piece of the big wacky puzzle. To experience it for yourself, catch one of the shows on this tour.”

Announced Tour Dates

06/06 – Center Stage, Atlanta, GA
06/07 – Mercury Ballroom, Louisville, KY
