“AURA Music Group and Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park have announced the phase one line-up for the seventh annual AURA Music & Arts Festival taking place March 3 – 5, 2016 at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park (SOSMP) in Live Oak, Florida. Performing at AURA are live electronica pioneers The Disco Biscuits, Bay area feel-good rock band ALO, high-energy funk quintet The Main Squeeze, The Heavy Pets with a special tribute to the ‘80s featuring Jennifer Hartswick and Natalie Cressman, hybrid tribute fusion masters Pink Talking Fish, nine-piece power funk army Turkuaz, Tom Hamilton’s American Babies, the southern psychedelia of Bright Light Social Hour and many others. Additional headliners and artists will be announced in the coming weeks.
AURA is more than just a music festival. It is a much-loved celebratory weekend of music, art and community attracting fans from around the country. The ever-expanding Yoga & Healing Arts Program will offer more than 20 classes and workshops throughout the week and fans can dance in the Silent Disco into the morning hours. The grounds are also home to one of the most beautiful natural amphitheaters in the US made only more awe-inspiring by AURA’s strong attention to sound and lighting production.

Set in the midst of 800 acres of Spanish moss-draped oak and cypress trees along the Suwannee River, the venue is a playground for endless activities such as swimming, canoeing, kayaking, disc golf and biking. The park also offers guest comforts including a general store, full-service restaurant, free showers, indoor bathrooms and water stations.

Umphrey’s McGee announces the start of 2016 with a 25-plus-date national tour kicking off with a three-night run at the historic Beacon Theatre in NYC, two nights in Asheville for our first arena double-header, and a triumphant return to the Left Coast in March. Instrumental rock-fusion quartet, TAUK, joins us for over 15 performances, as well as our friends The Motet in Asheville, and saxophone virtuoso Joshua Redman on select dates.

2016 marks Umphrey’s 18th year on the road! The music will kick-off on three stages, starting afternoons in Jaco Beach at The Beach Stage overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The evening action moves into the friendly confines of Hotel DoceLunas outside oasis, where the Main Stage will host the festival’s biggest bands and international headliners. UK reggae legends Steel Pulse will close the Main Stage Thursday night (March 19), 17 piece world electronic ensemble Thievery Corporation headlines Friday night (March 20), California’s finest Slightly Stoopid graces the Main Stage on Saturday night (March 21) and Sunday closes with a strong finale of Jamaican Reggae that features Mykal Rose (of Black Uhuru), rising new star Jesse Royal, and for their first time appearance ever in Costa Rica, Royal reggae family Morgan Heritage.

No Jungle Jam would be complete without a strong U.S. jam band contingent, and 2015 is no exception featuring multiple sets from Papadosio, Dopapod, Twiddle, The Werks, and Zach Deputy. A Late Night Stage, which promises to see some surprise collaborations from Jungle Jam’s favorite musicians, will also include DJ sets from Thievery Corporation’s Rob Garza and Congo Sanchez, spinning until the sun comes up.

In addition to the all-day music schedule, major headliners, and beautiful beaches of Jaco, Jungle Jam also offers a spectacular array of classic Costa Rican excursions. Deep sea fishing, canopy zip-line tours, sailboat snorkeling cruises, surfing, ATV tours, horseback riding, sea kayaking, crocodile jungle river tours, and tours of nearby Manuel Antonio National Park are just a few off-site adventures festival goers may experience. “On March 19-22, 2015, the 19th annual Suwannee Springfest kicks off the spring festival season at The Spirit Of Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, FL. A gem of a festival with beautiful early spring weather in a stunning natural setting, Suwannee Springfest 2015 is excited to announce a stand-out initial lineup with the Wood Brothers, Shovels and Rope, Infamous Stringdusters, Keller Williams & The Travelin’ McCourys, Blind Boys of Alabama, Larry Keel Experience, Donna The Buffalo, Jim Lauderdale, Joe Craven and Verlon Thompson. Tickets are on sale in advance starting Saturday, November 15th and will also be available gate.

“AURA Music Festival 2015 has announced the addition of iconic jamband moe. to the already impressive 2015 line-up making this the biggest year yet for the homegrown music festival. Taking place at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park (SOSMP) in Live Oak, Florida March 6 – 8, moe. will play two sets, joining headlining artists The Disco Biscuits, Papadosio and Snarky Puppy.

AURA has also added two sets by high-energy funk quintet The Main Squeeze including a very special Tribute to Michael Jackson, along with returning artists Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and McLovins. Chicago’s versatile electronic trio Cosby Sweater will make their AURA debut along with South Florida’s improvisational Stinky Pockets. True to AURA’s collaborative nature artists-at-large The Shady Horns (Ryan Zoidis and Eric Bloom of Lettuce) will pop up in several sets throughout the weekend with their sax and trumpet in tow.

For fans that want to arrive early, Ghost Owl has been added to the Thursday night pre-party with Dopapod and Kung Fu. Tickets are available as part of the four-day ticket package.
